Start Stripe Connect now if you will charge a tryout fee. Only the club owner can start or resume Connect — admins should ask the owner. Identity checks ask for organization details and a bank account and can take a day or more — run this in parallel with the public site. If the tryout is free, skip this chapter.
Free vs paid
- Free tryout — use Registration mode on the event. No Stripe. Use Skip for now.
- Paid tryout — use Tickets + registration (pay first, then parent and player details). Do not pick Registration-only if you intend to charge: mode locks after the first publish.
Registration forms never take payment. See Event ticketing & contacting buyers.
What Stripe needs
From the Events hub banner or Owner → Billing → Ticket Payouts (owner only):
- Legal name and type of your club or school
- Address and representative details
- A bank account for payouts
You can leave and resume. Credit for this chapter starts as soon as Connect is in progress, not only when it is fully active. Paid tickets still need Active before you publish them.
Fees (not dues)
Buyers pay the price you set. The club pays Stripe card processing (currently 2.9% + 30¢ per order) plus about 50¢ per ticket to Team Bloom. This is not a cut of dues — keep the processor you already use for registrations and invoices.
Team Bloom’s subscription is billed separately. Full billing: Billing & cancellation.
