Every message group in Team Bloom belongs to a team. There are no direct messages or club-wide chat rooms outside a team — channels stay scoped to the people on that roster.
Where to find messages
- Messages in the main nav — full-page inbox for all your channels.
- A team’s Messages tab — same channels, filtered to that team.
- Mobile app — Messages tab (same permissions as the web).
Owners and admins create groups with New Message Group on a team’s Messages tab.
Membership rules
Each channel has a membership rule that decides who belongs:
- Everyone — Players (with a login), parents, and coaches on the team
- Players & Parents — Players and their linked parents
- Players & Coaches — Players and coaching staff
- Parents & Coaches — Parents and coaching staff only
- Players only — Players with an account on this team
- Parents only — Parents linked to players on this team
- Coaches only — Coaching staff on this team
- Custom — People you add by hand
Rule-based groups stay in sync with the roster. When you add a player, link a parent, or assign a coach, membership updates automatically.
Custom groups do not auto-sync. An owner or admin must add or remove people in channel settings.
Who can post
Each channel also has a permission for regular members:
- Post & Reply — members can start threads and reply.
- Reply only — members can reply; owners/admins start new threads.
- Read only — broadcast / announcement style.
Club owners and admins always have Post & Reply, even on Reply-only or Read-only channels.
Someone missing from a channel?
- Confirm the player is on the team roster.
- For parents: confirm a guardian link is set up and accepted.
- If the channel is Custom, an admin must add them in channel settings.
Fix the roster first for rule-based channels — editing the channel membership list won’t stick after the next sync.
Notifications
On web and mobile you can set a channel to All messages or Mute. Mute keeps the channel in your list with unread counts but stops push notifications. Device notification permission still has to be on for pushes to arrive — see Mobile apps.
On web: open Messages, then the gear next to the page title for the Notifications drawer (All / Mute for every group). You can also use the bell on an open conversation. On mobile: use the notifications controls in Messages, or Account → Notifications for the device toggle.
